Reserved a room here with friends to visit the college as alum. Moments after checking in and getting to our room, we found a bed bug crawling on the pillow. When we called the front desk, the employee was incredibly curt and unhelpful. All she told us was that she was not authorized to give us a refund - which we hadn't even asked for. When I asked to speak to a manager, she refused and hung up on me. When we returned to the front desk to leave, she was neither apologetic nor friendly. We got a refund and moved next door to the Holiday Inn. At only $30 more per room, it's well worth it to stay here. UPDATE: upon posting my review, the manager responded to simply say they don't have bed bugs. I have pictures to prove they do. If you stay here, check your mattress and linens closely.

I was attending a conference and this is the hotel that was recommended. I initially made my reservation online, but had to make a change so I called the hotel directly. The gentleman who helped me was very kind and professional. When I checked in and during the stay, everyone at the front desk was very kind. The Hotel It's in walking distance to a nice shopping center with a grocery store, fast food restaurants, and stores. It's alos right off the main road and pretty easy to get to. Whereas the hotel from the outside and the lobby is beautiful, when I got off the elevator and to the room, I was a little disappointed. There is a strange odor that I can't describe except to say that it felt old. When I walked in the room, the odor was there as well. I went to purchase air freshener it was that bad. Again, it wasn't "stink" but an odor. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom okay. The shower made a high pitched noise if it ran too long. The mini fridge door wouldn't stay shut. I didn't ask for another room because I was only staying 1 night and would not be in the room long. My only regret is that I didn't say anything to the front desk as I was leaving (I was late for my meeting). Final Thoughts If I had known that there was another hotel beside it, which is my preferred hotel chain, I more than likely would have booked there. Again, it's not a bad hotel. In fact, I think all of this can be remedied with a nice renovation, new carpeting, and/or a few upgrades.

A two night stay, the staff is very nice. The cleanliness leaves a tad to be desired however I believe it is because the hotel is older and needs some work done. Over all a pleasant experience.
