Rí Rá Irish Pub

About

An authentic Irish pub inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place.

Story

Crafted in the warm pub style of 19th century Ireland, this authentic Irish pub features a multitude of artifacts carefully restored in Wicklow, Ireland and shipped to their new home in Las Vegas. Rí Rá Las Vegas contains an authentic Victorian Shop bar that began its life in Ireland in the 1880s, a whiskey bar adorned with an original glazed jewelry cabinet from 1900, an oak floor from a whiskey distillery and an 8-foot-tall, 500-pound carved plaster statue of St. Patrick dating back to 1850. The pub hosts live entertainment seven nights a week in a music room constructed with artifacts dating back to 1890 from the Olympia Theater in Dublin, Ireland. On the weekends, guests will be able to kick back at Rí Rá Live, where every Friday and Saturday at 11:30 p.m. the best bands in town will take the pub’s stage.

Heard a lot about this place and saw a ton of positive reviews (mostly tourist reviews). Decided to take the family out to dinner there on a Friday evening - they give Las Vegas locals a discount on Fridays. We had a party of six (automatic 25% gratuity added on for that), and our waiter was not the most engaging person. I ordered the chicken wings (volcano), and was informed by the waiter that they would be too hot for me and basically inedible. I had to fight with him to get the volcano wings - which as it turns out weren't that hot. The rest of the meal was good and everyone enjoyed their meals for the most part. The beer was great of course and our service was a tad slower than I'm used to. As we prepared to pay the bill we informed the waiter that we were locals asking for the offered discount - normally I would expect the person paying to be the one showing the identification as proof of residency but everyone in the group had to show ID. My problem is I have a underage child that has no ID and I took an out of town friend - full price for both. I know it's a casino restaurant that would probably prefer tourist to locals, but I like supporting my community businesses. --Disappointed but not surprised

The food and service is amazing, as is the Guinness. I can't imagine that many people leaving here disappointed. An excellent place to eat, drink and watch some sports on.the many TVs. 😁 And have the bread pudding.... It's well worth the wait ❤️

Came here for a late breakfast. Got seated immediately, but after that the service was rather slow. The breakfast was good and consisted of eggs (cooked to order), toast with butter, bacon and black and white pudding. Contrary to other reviews, I did not find the portions that large and the price is rather steep for a breakfast (over $15). The food was tasty though, and the pudding was well prepared. Coffee was OK, but not great. The interior is classic and attractive though and really looks like a traditional Irish pub. I'd rather go here for a beer than breakfast.

My stepfather highly recommended this restaurant, while in Vegas. Service was terrible. It took forever to be seated, and the waiter did the bare minimum. I could have got better service at McDonald's. Upside. Food was very good. Atmosphere was amazing. Well like to give it another shot next time I'm in Vegas.

From a family of eight visiting Las Vegas from the UK in February 2018 We recently spent a week in Las Vegas staying in the Luxor Hotel. On a number of occasions we had a very enjoyable breakfast in the Rí Rá Irish Pub (the shoppes at Mandalay Place). One evening our family party of eight decided to have dinner in the pub and we arrived approximately fifteen minutes prior to the ending of the drinks “happy hour”. There was only one barman standing at the two bars so my self and my sister in law approached the bar to give a drinks order. The barman who we now know is called Owen stood in a corner chatting to a male customer and refused to acknowledge our presence. As the end of the happy hour approached we called to the barman Owen and asked if he would take our order and once again he ignored us. I then went over the corner were Owen was having his in depth conversation and asked him if there was any chance at all of being served. The barman Owen obviously took offence at being asked to do his job and said to a colleague who suddenly appeared “I am not serving these customers who seem desperate to order “cheap drinks”. On hearing this I went to get the bar Manager to explain the way his member of staff had verbally abused and embarrassed us. Both I and the Manger went over to the barman Owen and he continued to verbally abuse me in front of his manager who asked him unsuccessfully to refrain from doing this. At this point our seated family group left the premises in a state of upset. It is obvious from our own experience and from what has been said previously on line that the barman Owen has no place in a customer facing role and that Owen has no respect for his Manger or pub customers. This pub has the potential to be a great drinking / eating venue but we would recommend anyone thinking of visiting the establishment to do so only if they wish to have their vacation spoilt and possibly be verbally abused by Owen the barman.
