After nearly 50 years of hard work and Investment by myself and my father, Douglas J. Bates , The Lifelong Broncos Fan from Canada who died here in the so called "Promised Land".   As a legal naturalized dual citizan,, the niece of Appellate Supreme Court Attorney David Brougham formally Senior Partner at Hall and Evans Law firm, i am horrified! My near lifetime of observation has shown and oriven to me a city and state so RIFE with police and city official corruption that has gone on for so long and runs so deep it truly can never be corrected.  The legal justice system is a mockery. A complete utterly disgraceful jestering..  They may as well put their wigs back on because the term BARRISTER is one of Nobility and in order to be a United States Citizen... One CANNOT HOLD A TITLE OF NOBILITY.  ITS A JOKE .
ALL A SAD PATHETIC JESTERING.  A REASON ENOUGH FOR ME TO

This will be a requirement and enforced to the availability of Social Security benefits for future. It is also required that the Colorado Bar Association all members who practice as in attorneys and private councils will have to get the registration through Cheyenne Wyoming at Frontier Days love your new identification legal authorization number to practice law. A family member of mine obtained a temporary restraining order against his roommate/landlord when the landlord threatened harm and locked him out of the apartment. (The landlord is a felon on probation - unknown to tenant at time of rental)  Family member went to Denver court today to make the restraining order permanent.  Judge allowed no information or police reports presented; vacated the order because complainant's "size." In other words, because he is 40 lbs heavier than the person who threatened him the judge threw the case out with no information.  Prior to today stellar performance the following occurred:  Because my family member chose not to engage in violence to protect himself when threatened ,but rather to use the system - as he was taught by his emergency service professional parent - he is now: living in his brother's basement (and out $2000 in pre-paid rent to crazy landlord), has been charged with simple assault (as is the landlord) because police who responded did not want to investigate, and was later assaulted two days later by Denver police officer who was requested for a civil standby so personal items could be removed. The police officer was to enforce the restraining order and order to vacate that had been granted, but questioned the complainant repeatedly and aggressively, slammed him into a wall and table, causing concussion and sprained wrist, then refused to call an ambulance.(An Internal Affairs investigation is underway....good luck with that.)  The DPD sergeant who responded to "investigate" the assault by his officers refused to talk with the complainant in front of paramedics or to meet the complainant at the er, rather insisted on talking to him away from the ambulance and although the sergeant videoed the interview by the next day there was no record of the interview - video or otherwise - on record with DPD.  And since you are wondering at this point, no, the complainant does not have a record or history of any problems with law enforcement, etc.  He is just a hard-working 30 year old white male who thought the system was supposed to help when you needed it, especially after watching family and friends in the profession elsewhere spend their lives caring for those who needed help.  The level of dis-enfranchisement with Denver City and County cannot adequately be expressed at this point. This young man does not have money for an attorney at this point, and honestly doesn't have any hope that it would help if he did...unless, of course, he had a LOT of money, in which case the courts would probably be nicer to him. We would like to thank the Denver Co Sheriff's Dept, who were very professional and helpful initially in serving papers on the felonious landlord. As to the others in the system - Fail, DPD & Denver Courts. HUGE Fail.
