My experience with Rancho Mesa Properties has not been positive and after a sudden rent increase of 27% after 3 years with no upgrades and very few repairs I found it was time to write this review. With my particular unit the rent was reasonable until now. You basically got what you paid for. When there were issues with the unit, Rancho Mesa would send someone out to inspect, but rarely fixed anything. They would basically just ignore the issue. If they did have an issue fixed, they would hire a contractor who would spend most of his time talking and not working, but yet charge the owner the full amount. The repairs they did were less than satisfactory. Rancho Mesa seems very disorganized and clearly does not treat their tenants very well. I do not recommend renting a property from them, nor do I recommend listing a property with them.

Gordon Carpenter was probably the best property manager we have ever worked with.  He addressed all of our concerns and needs not only efficiently, but effectively.  I would highly recommend him and Rancho Mesa Properties to anyone looking to rent or to handle their property management needs.

Everyone in the office: Allan, Edmundo, Emelda and Daniel are exceptionally friendly and professional.  Every visit to the office is a pleasant experience and I always leave with a feeling that my needs were taken seriously and handled with the utmost care.  Wonderful property management company.

Our property manager, Gordon Carpenter, is fantastic.  He's attentive to our needs and incredibly friendly.  Additionally, he's very professional, open, and serves to help his tenants.
