The range offers Exquisite New Mexican breakfast. It is a must to try for anyone passing through. I know is a favorite of the locals as well, serving very tasty and generous portion breakfast and lunch dishes. The range is also decorated with Southwestern art and Decor. I didn't realize that the name of the place denotes both a cooking range and range as in the landscape of the desert, so when I figure this out I appreciated that as well.

drink limit on beer? Really. Was pressured to order even after saying I'm taking my time. Ordered an app and just sipping my beer, then wham you can only order 3 drinks. Won't be back. Asked to speak to manager and waiter said he was the manager. Don't think so have been in many times.  Worst experience ever.

This place is one of my favorites! We stop every time we come through Albuquerque. The service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. All the food is delicious! I can't rave enough about the deserts and pastries they have. I live in Phoenix, so every time I come through I make sure to buy 3+ deserts just to take with me for the rest of the week, that's how good they are. I just tried their German Chocolate Cake and it was the best I have ever had. If you are in the area, definitely try out the Range Cafe. I promise you will not be diasapointed!

Wow! I’m pretty picky and it’s difficult to find a restaurant at a good price with EVERY single item you order being in the AMAZING range! I ordered the Huevos rancheros and loved the two sauces, green and red, that I asked for, as well as the beans which were perfectly cooked and creamy and perfectly seasoned.

In addition, the poached eggs I asked for were perfectly poached and the blue corn tortillas added a wonderful flavor and grounding the slight fire from the green sauce.  Finally, virtually any breakfast restaurant offer some sort of potato side, which I generally find poorly cooked or overly cooked or soggy or dry, etc., but these were perfectly cooked the flight crunch on the outside and a creamy deliciousness on the inside! Couldn’t of asked for more!

Only problem is none of the three staff people I talk to had any idea about the menu, how things were made, and in fact gave me incorrect information! I had asked about their incredible desserts including a cream puff that they specifically told me was made with whipping cream and NOT a custard and then read on the menu that IT WAS made with custard!  This scenario happened several more times when I inquired about a number of other items on the menu. These three people simply had no idea about the menu and, more problematic, told me incorrect information rather than just saying “I don’t know.“

This was my first time at this location. I had gone to the other at Wyoming and Montgomery several times and always enjoyed it. This was not quite as good an experience. My food was overcooked but edible and I was given a pathetic amount of the sweet potato fries I ordered. But service was otherwise fast and friendly and everything was reasonably priced. It still might be worth going back as this might have been a fluke.
