Story

South Florida's largest water park! Rapids Water Park was founded in 1979, on 4 acres of land and four water slides. It has since grown to over 30 acres. Rapids Water Park features a full day of fun for the entire family with 35 thrilling slides, a cool wave pool and a relaxing lazy river. So much FUN! Something to do ALL DAY LONG! Lazy river was relaxing and water rides was a adventure. Little bit of something for the whole family. My kids had a blast! The older adults did as well. Definitely a place we will go back to when in town. 🙂

Great day at the water park! Kids had a blast it was warm and no line ups. Some staff could use customer service training daughter and son referred to one slide operator as rude.

Great place to spend the day and the food is also good! You can relax at the pool as well as kids having fun. Very enjoyable day!

In one word: Disappointed. First we were shocked by the very expensive entry price. We paid around 180 bucks for two adults with one kid including parking and a (way too small) locker. But ok, we try to enjoy the rides anyway. But then: our kid is too small for most of the rides, yet we still had to pay full price (same as adult). We started the park shortly after 10am and found that half of the rides were closed. When I asked a lifeguard why so many rides are closed I was told there are not enough guards around. So park opens at 10 and there's not enough staff available... We continued and tried to make the best of it anyway but the water was very chilly - even the guards were complaining how cold it was. It actually got worse. Once we tried out some rides and got a first view of the park in general we noticed how dirty and badly maintained the park is. Rides are broken (at least one ride with 4 slides didn't open the whole day), colors are gone, the stairs are rusty (dangerous if you slip and cut yourself!!), the chairs were dirty and looked like they haven't been cleaned in months, the restrooms ceiling was open, floors full of leafs and other debris (i once stepped on a screw with my bare foot)... And all this on march 12, two days after the season opening! Looks like there was nothing done during the winter break. Wait, it gets better. I don't know how underpaid the staff is, but most of them (around 80%) make sour faces all day long. That would be ok but when my kid once slipped and fell nobody moved a bone to help. I realized she slipped, hit her foot and started to bleed (not much but still). She was crying very loudly and I immediately took her out of the water. Two guards were right next to us and nobody even cared to ask if she's ok. The food prices are way too high (e.g. 10 bucks for a wrap), so we skipped eating anything. Two reasons why I gave two instead of one star: Some of the employees were actually quite good and very nice. And the rides are really fun (once you don't look at how they are maintained). Summary: Totally overpriced for a dirty and badly (if at all) maintained park. And then some of the rides are even closed. Disappointed.

An amazing experience. Great staff. Fun for all family. It has a very clean and fun environment and feeling to it. Very very recommended .
