My husband and I I love going to Red Star for the vegetarian meat options that they have. They now offer complete table service again. The server and host are always very courteous and helpful. The food is always delicious and plentiful. And it is a reasonable price for all of this.

I guess I'm finicky about Chinese food, because I didn't find Red Star to be even close to 5-star quality. The staff was very friendly, and the interior is rather splendid, however that alone couldn't make up for the low quality chicken, undercooked broccoli & the poorly-made white rice that had no resemblance whatsoever to the texture and flavor I see at even a decent Chinese restaurant. I can do way better in my own kitchen, which is saying a lot. It's a great ambition for this restaurant to try and make themselves into a quality Asian cuisine, but they seem to have quite a ways to go. I admire their spirit though, and if they hope to do well in the future, I would suggest they visit busy, highly-rated Chinese restaurants (not buffets) in other cities, especially those run by legit Chinese people. Then they can at least see what they need to do to step up their game. I probably won't be returning to Red Star, though I wish them all the best in their restaurateur endeavors!

Get off work after a long day, picked up Huanan vegan chicken with some fried rice since I don't really like chicken from outside the house. Let me tell you, tons of veggies in a slightly spicy sauce,  rice was fresh. This place is legit, it ain't cheap but you get a ton of food. Runs 12 to 14 bucks a plate. Overall,  this is new spot. Girl working was polite and helpful even though I called 10 min before closing. The place smelled good, appeared to be clean, and the food was awesome. They do have a halal kitchen, no pork sold at this place, how can you not love this place. Give a shot, you will be glad you listened.

I went to this establishment on a Saturday afternoon and there were about six other groups or parties there as well. I ordered shrimp egg foo young and was told by the Manager I could not order it because it would take too long to make and take up too much room in the pan and delay everyone else's food. Hunh??? I understood that it takes a little longer to prepare but you're telling me I can't order it all?!?! A few moments later, the waiter told me that I couldn't order it because they were out of been sprouts?!?! Well, which is it? I don't like being lied to! So disappointing!

My husband enjoyed the general tso's chicken. I had the garlic seitan with veggies was tasty but not enough garlic. But just like that vegan dishes are an option.
