This was a nice area but the way they situated the group camp site is bad. Your in between RVs that I think are regulars. We been approach by rangers because the dogs were barking at night which was so untrue. They've been inside the tent and if they were barking it would be us who would be complaining first. The point is they seem to be a bit unfair since the one complaining is a regular RV campers. In fact the owner of this RV came towards our area at around 8:30 AM with her dog and so obviously my dog would bark, and had the nerve to tell us"your dog should not be barking it's too early in the morning". Seriously, I wanted to respond to her but it does not seem everything is right in her mind. What does she expect from a dog when they see another dog? Bottom line if your idea of camping is whispering in the wilderness and not talking and your dogs do not bark this is your site. Do not come here if you do not want to be discriminated just because you have a happy family.

be aware only half the camp ground is open, I had a reservation thought Reserve California, I was not notified of the closer and was turned away at the gate. nothing like driving 3 hours with 7 kids just to get turned away. but other then that its an awesome beach!!

Love it out there!! Took a walk on the beach. Campsites are nice. Be careful for the birds cuz they will fly away with your food. :-). Wonderful place to camp right on the beach.

Great location on a nice beach close by the campsites. Camp sites are spacious. Overall park maintenance very poor. Bathrooms do not have soap or paper towels or a hand dryer. No toilet seat covers either. Showers cost 25 cents for two minutes of water, with horrible shower heads and faucets. Shower floors are disgusting with sand and dirt. Could not get hot water in some of them. Outside faucets don't have appropriate drainage so there is a lot of standing water and mud. While we understand that the grass areas have been left to die due to the CA drought, weeds should still be mowed and debrie raked.

Greedy. Wont help fire victims. I use to love it but places with no heart no thank you
