The seats are great! I bought a ticket for the movie "the shape of water" which I was really excited to see and thought to myself "how could the night get any better" then I sat in my seat in the theater and I immediately realizes the night did indeed get better. I sat comfortable in my chair throughout the entire film. Even after the film was over I just didn't want to get up. I sat and I sat all the way through the credits. Don't change the chairs please.

Technically, it's a good theater. Comfortable seats, good sound, good focus, large screen in a large room, convenient parking. Cons: It has too many ads and trailers that play sound so loud you'll need earplugs. Also, the sound isolation between theaters is too thin, and the shhhboooms!! from the action teen flick next door greatly interfere with the quiet drama you're watching. Unfortunately, they don't play interesting foreign films, documentaries, classics, or art films anymore. It's 95% copycat Hollywood junk or Disney fluff stuff. Too bad they can't have just one of their 16 screens for interesting films. Sadly, this is why I spend most of my film watching time on Netflix.

The manager is a complete jerk. This is the third time I’ve had terrible service from her and I hope they fix it because I am going to report her to Cooperate. I used to love Birkdale Movies, it was very reliable for where I live. I can not stand Birkdale Movies now because the manager is a complete a-hole. I went to go see a Movie with my friends months ago and based of looks asked for ID but, did not go on to ask my other friends. The time before that one I went to see a different movie with friends and seen other friends at the movies also. We were going to separate movies but was accused of “movie hopping”. This time a group of friends were going to see Insidious 7 they were in and I got there few minutes after 7. I went to the desk to buy one single ticket for myself and she looks at me and tells me they’re “sold out” I said ok and walked out. When I got outside I hear one of the booth workers selling tickets to a couple to see the same movie. So of course I go to the guy and tell him that the manager inside told me they were “sold out” but he sold the couple tickets. Left me in confusion. So I will no longer be going to Birkdale. Manager is terrible and I hope they find a new one quick! The manager before her was so much better. This new poor excuse for a manager really sucks! Family and I will no longer be watching movies at what was a great place.

Clearly management never takes the time to walk into any of the rooms. Walls are poorly sound proof, Showings like "Straight out of Compton" playing beside horror movies. So when the horror scene is about to happen, be prepared for the loud action scene next store to bust through your walls and interrupt any enjoyment. Over the past two years, I've gone here roughly a dozen times. 11/12 times were ruined by the sound bleeding through the walls of the other movies. 1 out of the 11 times we were refunded because it was so bad. Place is nice, its nice to drink at your movie. Wish management cared a little more.

The website and phone message are not always updated. Beware! The theaters are nice. Odd process for beer, but they do have it.
