You have to try the RPX theater, it is worth the money for action films.  We saw 12 Strong there at it was awesome.  You feel the vibration on your seat... the screen is super wide, the surround sound was amazing, the seat was bad ass.... love it!!!

The place has been really coming up after their reopen. I have had a chance to see a movie there a few days ago and I have to say, that place is growing real fast. Im sure it will be the next big thing in a few. It is a good place and is family friendly.

I am not a fan of Kingstowne 16. With so many nice movie theaters around, especially the Regal at Springfield mall, Kingstowne simply does not compete. You can't pre-pick your seating, so there's no guarantee you're going to get to sit where you want, the theater itself feels dingy and dirty and the ticket prices are ridiculously expensive (I paid $13.50 per ticket last time I was there). That money is NOT worth the experience.

Seriously, go to Regal Springfield Town Center 12. You pay about the same price for your ticket, but you get to reserve your seats AND you get those awesome reclining chairs for the same price. 

I'll also mention that the location of Kingstowne 16 isn't ideal. The county has tried to spruce up this area by adding in the shopping center, but it's still not great. I've personally witnessed a fight break out outside of the theater on a Friday night and was once pulled aside by a police officer who mistook me for someone who had started a fight earlier that day. Now, there's almost always 1-2 police officers parked outside of the theater to "keep the peace". 

Additionally, parking is predictably terrible and traffic is almost always a nightmare. 

These things aren't the theater's fault, but definitely make the overall experience less enjoyable.

Love going to the late shows to avoid crowds.  However tonight we were surprised with the excellent service.  Thank you.

The RPX is so cool. They have vibrating speakers under and around the seats. It is a little expensive though
