There are two types of people in the world: The ones who love REI, and the ones whose opinion you can't trust! ;) This is a lovely store. A little cramped in the clothing section, but otherwise great merchandising. I particularly recommend the bikes section. Also, 70% of REI's profits are donated to the outdoor community.

Many things to love about REI! I really like the atmosphere inside the store - it makes me want to stay in there forever! I also really like the staff there, and if you ever need help determining what to buy, they're always really eager to help. It's always a pleasure to shop there! They also have really nice garage sales, where they have a 70-80% off sale behind the store selling returned gear. They don't do it as often anymore, but it's great when they do. Overall, great store!

This particular store is terrible. They are often out of items even though their inventory says they have many and I called to verify. They refuse to check another store. I even had one employee say that their stock was out because the item has the same exact UPC as something else. Complete lie. The other nearest stores do not have this problem.

I usually get stuff on Amazon, but I needed some good gear quicker than prime would allow. I asked an employee for some advice picking out hiking pants - a subject I didn't put much research into and the employee, Colton, was really knowledgeable and was able to share some of his own opinions and experiences with the products. Though that, I was able to pick out something that I'm really happy with. If you like backpacking and the outdoors they also have everything else you would need. I already had most of what I need on that front, but if I ever need to replace anything I'm sold on REI bring the place to go as a physical location.

I was about to purchase a (backpacking) backpack, having no idea what I was doing, and then, a knowledgeable gentleman (employee) stepped into the scene. He helped me make certain the fit was right, before I made the purchase and walked out the front door. I was very happy with his assistance - not letting me ignorantly purchase a pack, only to go home and try to figure it out by my lonesome (which would probably have taken forever).
