Renaissance at Rand PTA
The mission of the Renaissance at Rand Middle School is to mold individuals to think critically, responsibly, and empathetically. At the heart of our school are students, faculty and staff who continually investigate ideas, become deeply immersed in subjects, and develop a passion for learning.
We believe that all students can learn. We put appropriate programs in place to support learning.
The school makes full use of community resources including classes at the Soccer Domain and the Montclair Public Library. We teach students to value and contribute to their world through participation in Community Service classes. Our community partners provide us with service sites that include local nursery and elementary schools, the Township Attorney’s Office, the Red Cross, IHN, Toni’s Kitchen, and our own gardens whose harvest is frequently donated to community feeding programs.
As necessary tools for learning, computers are available for student and staff use in school and on field research. We also offer an ever-expanding range of STEAM courses which lead to natural applications of technology in a wide range of subjects.
We value learning from the world. Our units of study at all grade levels include field research and investigation. Field sites vary from museums and concert halls to outdoor wilderness and historical sites.
We strive daily to support students’ growth in all areas of learning.
