Left the house I was in after two years in MUCH better shape than when I moved in. They wouldn't answer the phone for months and months or return my deposit. Sad.

IN MY OPTION DO NOT RENT AND STAY AWAY FROM ***RENT THE BAY********

This is from "TJ"  the office Manger for Rent The Bay:

 "The way we handle the move out process is as follows. 
Prior to your move out date, please provide us with a mail forwarding address. 
The day of your move out, please leave your keys on the kitchen counter top. 
Within a week we'll go out to the house for an inspection. 
After the inspection, we'll send you your refundable portion of your security deposit via certified mail to the forwarding address you've provided"

Sir with all respect your plan is totally one sided and does not provide equal opportunity in discovery, disclosure or settlement. I have never heard of toss the keys in the kitchen and walk off. I am a business professional and will not take part in such a shenanigan.

We expect the same service on the returning property to you as we participated in on accepting the property. Both parties meet at property then Viewed Property, Signed Contract, Exchanged Monetary Settlement and then the Exchange of Keys. 

Please do not take my kindness as stupidity as I find your plan as insulting,  totally unprofessional an unacceptable. 

I will wait your reply in handling this matter in a professional manner.

God awful service. Lived in one of Rent The Bay's homes for a year and a half. The entire time they were next to impossible to get in touch with, no matter how serious the issue was. Now that I have moved out, it's been upwards of 4 months and they will still not return any of my calls or emails for my deposit back. These people are scam artist.
