It's a private temple and need authorization to go inside. However many people like just to take a walk around it. There are places you can have a seat so you may chat with friends or have a deep self reflection. I hope it make sense. You should stop by because everyone is friendly.

I have done baptisms for the dead here. People make fun of that phrasing, but I thought it was normal. I thought I was doing a service that would help people get into heaven. You have to pay 10% of your income for life as tithing to perform ordinances at the temple. It wasn't until after college when I resigned from the church that I learned that secret handshakes are also a part of Mormonism, and that it's also believed that you need to know those secret handshakes to get into the celestial kingdom, the highest part of heaven in Mormonism. Besides baptisms for the dead and temple open houses (a time when they open up the temple to everyone to walk through the rooms but don't actually show what happens there), I have not been through other parts of the temple while it is open and in use, but thanks to the YouTube channel called NewNameNoah, I've seen recordings of the secret handshakes and all the other stuff I was never told about, like green aprons and chanting.

Amazing. I've been to this Temple many times and I absolutely love it. It's a wonderful place to be able to ponder and draw closer to God. It is a very special place for me and those I attend with. In fact its my all time favorite place. The best part is that all are invited to enjoy it if they are willing to prepare themselves. Temples aren't secret, they are sacred and must be treated as such if they are to remain so.

Very detailed landscaping and grounds around the temple. There is a strong sense of peace as you walk around the temple. Inside you will find a beautiful structure built to worship God and learn more about him.

Beautiful temple sitting over top of the Rexburg. You can see it from almost everywhere in town, it glows in the night and really adds to the beauty of Rexburg.
