Sent renewal info on time and at least 3 different ways. Called for weeks and left messages no response-no answer, no return call, no letters in the mail, absolutely nothing. Now it's the first when benefits are supposed to be available, that's a big fat NO. They are for my disabled mother who I take care of. I guess they don't need to work must be nice. I wish we could move into another part of Virginia. Really they don't even deserve 1star!!!!!
A football player was able to get millions from needy family funds , a rich man but here I am with 3 little boys , a single grandma, raising these children 3 yrs now without any help from social services, they won't return calls !!! They're at home getting a pay check for doing NOTHING !!! They don't even return calls , trifling and unprofessional but they suppose to help the NEEDY !!
This place is closed don't go there no one will help you do anything. Always no answer or return call when you need help most. The case workers must be home so weay as well stay home. Never at work. Ridiculous. We all need to sign a petition and send it to the Governor to see if he at work and willing to give us the Answer. I have a kidney transplant and I need regular meals.
Damn 4 years later from reviews and y’all still not answering the phone.
I have been trying to reach someone at DSS for over 3 months. My mother's Medicaid application was sent to Richmond DSS when it should have been sent to Chesterfield DSS and I want to have it transferred. I always reach someone at Chesterfield DSS whenever I call but after many phone calls to the person handling her application at Richmond DSS and to the person's supervisor, and after calling and making a formal request for a call-back, I still have not been able to speak to anyone but an operator at Richmond DSS. Furthermore, most of the operators I speak to are rude. There is no complaint line, the operators will not give you the number of the director's office nor is that number published. This is terrible customer service.
This agency is the worst ever. Don't answer the phone, hangs up automatically. Appears to be defunct!!!
This is the worse social services in Virginia. The social workers don't answer the phone and they are very unprofessional. This location needs all new employees that will actually help people.
I call left message after message. They have 24/7 do not disturb. The main number click and hangs up. Sad practices.
The phone doesn't ring, it goes straight to a busy signal. Also when something is going to be sent to you in the mail and you are literally 10 minutes away, it seems to take a month.
Called many times weeks in a row no answer just hangs up out of no where. Very unprofessional
