I am being completely abused by this system. I drive lyft because I'm in school full time, taking summer classes currently and interning. This police station took my car Tuesday evening and when I called Wednesday morning thinking it was stolen they told me to call inspector Cook. I did, at 8am that morning and he called back around 150pm. Said he had my car and I can go in the following day to talk. Missing class 2days in a row now I went in Thursday morning for them to sit me down and question me. They are trying to say I was a part of cars being broken into on a day I was driving lyft and my past history shows I was driving. I left the interrogation room yesterday so upset and I was scared to sign warrant as he made me feel he was trying to blame me for something I did not do!!! I went back to sign after getting some advise and of course he wasn't there. Called him twice yesterday and once today. I am being treated as if I am guilty for something I did not do. And they have my car when I have a full summer schedule with classes and interning. They have completely disrupted my life for doing absolutely nothing and they are in no pressing hurry to help me. Guilty until proven innocent is how they are treating me. I cannot believe this system and the carelessness of the lives they intrude upon. This can go on for who knows how long and I have done nothing wrong. How is this legal and ok to do to someone?

Reporting a burglary, as my friends and I have been victims of a "Smash & Grab" on Point Lobos AVe. while having lunch at the Cliff House. The officer took our report, but had no interest to actually help us. We had a witness that saw a green VW Passat drive away with 2 black gentleman in the car, the restaurant had outside security cameras that they could easily use to narrow down the cars to the green VW Passat and check the plates and lastly, the thieves tried using my credit card at a metro station - I have the location and time! I'm sure that place has cameras too. This has been going on for 2-3 years in the city with nothing being done! This is due to the lazy cops that claim they have more important things to do, while people suffer! A hard drive stolen with videos and photos of my daughter since birth - PRICELESS! This happened to a friend of mine back home who camped out in the area of the burglary and caught the thieves red-handed. Needed no cops or law enforcement! They're a joke.

The policemen at this station are probably very nice and capable. However, when I drove there today to make a police report of stolen ID (I have to have a report in order to board a plane in a few days), I had to drive around a 3/4 miles radius for nearly an hourly looking for a parking spot, and still found nothing. Had to give up. Surely the city or whomever should provide parking for people who need something as vital as a police station!

Useless is how I would describe them. I used to work for the police so I always give them the benefit of the doubt, but in this case they were horrible. Our apartment was broken into at the beginning of the month. The officers who arrived were nice, but that's where any type of concern or caring ended. A few days later I brought in some supplemental paperwork with serial numbers, etc. and when I arrived at the station the officer on duty was a tool. I walked up to the window and said "hi, I've got some paperwork I need to hand in" and his response was "yeah", glared at me and then slowly made his way to the window as though it was causing him great pain. He then complained that I had the old form, which has the wrong mailing address and that I should have mailed it in. I explained that the officers that responded told me I could mail it in or bring it to the station and that I used the form that the person who answered the phone, at their station, directed me too. I was also told by the responding officers that the investigative team would contact us over the next couple of days, but no one did and it's been a month. Last week one of my stolen iPad popped up online with the address of where it was. I've left 2 voicemails with the investigative unit (they never answer the phone) and no one called me back. Awesome investigating! Overall I would say that they are useless and I hope I never have to deal with them again. I'm sure that they could care less about this review, but maybe Captain Silverman will.

On August 28th we had a party for my son's 30th birthday at Cybelle's Front Room on 9th Ave. I hope this is the right station for that area. Five motorcyle officers were having lunch. My two grandsons ages 8 & 4 were each given a shoulder patch and a badge by Officer Tong. The officers were all friendly and pleasant. I just wanted pass forward a positive to say thanks.
