Great place for a hike. Unpaved road next to park is what you take to a gravel parking area. Bring water & a snack - you'll want to explore for awhile!

The best parts were the rugged and wild with glaciers, countless rivers and lakes, majestic mountain peaks, some active volcanoes, and nearly 34,000 miles of tidal shoreline. And the best of them all had to be MT. Denali at 20,320 ft.

The directions aren't that great, so you may just want to use Google Maps to navigate to the Vista park, then turn right onto the dirt road immediately past the park. Beautiful views, lots of bird watching, but be careful as there are tons of coyotes in the area. Make sure you wear junk shoes or your good boots as the shoreline gets nice and mucky.

This is a very beautiful place if you love to get away from all the loud noises of traffic and you just want to relax with the sound of the water. It's a hidden Oasis away from the public yet the public still knows about it.

One of my favorite places ever, go north to see a great view of river and mountains, possibly the best angle.
