Stayed in a new cabin, was great, but would have been nice to have a few finishing touches like dishwashing liquid. Otherwise fantastic! Chilled vibe, nice very little private beach, fab sunsets

We have really loved our seasonal stays at Riptide, principally due to the friendly atmosphere and great friends we have made.  Sadly, our reservation for the coming winter season has been cancelled due to changes Sun RV Resorts is making.  They are going toward a "cottage" rental business for the majority of sites on the property, a few annual RV site rentals, leaving only 4 seasonal sites available.  Many of our friends have been "booted" at this late date making it very difficult to find new winter accommodations elsewhere. 
I'm deeply saddened that they did not have the decency to make this known in the spring when residents are making future plans.  They should not have taken reservations for the sites they were planning to turn into cottage rentals this season. They were just protecting themselves without a thought to those that made the reservations.   They did return our deposits but, kept the interest they made in the interim.  Nice!
Obviously this company is only interested in their bottom line.  We will not be staying in a Sun RV Resort in the future.

Perfect little piece of paradise in the heart of Key Largo! We spent 3 nights at the Riptide Motel during Labor Day Weekend with family. This is a beautiful location, right on the water with it’s own boat dock, natural swimming area and tiki hut perfect for watching the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen! The motel itself is very well maintained with a friendly staff (who treated us more like friends) who will go out of their way to be helpful. Milton is such a great guy and extremely accommodating. Betty was excellent at keeping our room tidy and supplying us with fresh towels. Jose is the grounds keeper who is also super helpful and keeps the campground looking immaculate! Our room was very nice, clean, comfy and ice cold! The mini fridge and microwave were perfect for storing and warming our yummy leftovers from all of the excellent restaurants that are literally steps away from the motel.  If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the Florida Keys, Riptide Motel & Campground is the place! You cannot beat it for the price!

Location was perfect, stay was pleasant, folks were friendly. Close to what ever you wanted to do, or to just sit and relax
