Great little place to walk around or relax in after a dinner out or even in the summer with your kids to play with the fountains. Take some time out of your busy day to enjoy the simple things in life. One little touch I liked here were some of the bricks in the ground that, I believe, say hello or welcome in several different languages. Thought that was a really unique thing to do.

It's definitely a cookie cutter town center. Just like all of the others in the area and probably everywhere. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's clean, well maintained, and populated - not many empty or dark store fronts. They do promote seasonal events (ice skating, etc). Typical coterie of chain tenants and boutique stores. Some family owned places in the mix. Whether buying dinner or an item at a shop, it's definitely priced higher on comparison to other local businesses. If you're cool with paying for atmosphere, it's not even an issue. Offers street and garage parking. Usually a mess when you'd expect, but a spot will come available if patient. Worth a visit.

This place has good restaurants, a nice library, and good stores. In fair weather, it makes a nice place to walk around. I don't think parking is ever free, but many places do validate for parking. Overall, it is a lovely town center that is a nice place to spend some time. It is also metro accessible, but quite a long ways to metro out to from DC. Perhaps if metro was more reliable and frequent on the weekends, more people might come to visit the Town square.

The square is a family-friendly place to relax, and is ringed by several restaurants and one the area's flagship public libraries. During summer months, there's a splash fountain where kids can play and cool off, plus Friday night concerts and periodic outdoor movie screenings, both of which generally also include additional food and beer and wine vemdors. From November to March, the square is covered with a small skating rink, and the pavilion is converted to provide skate rentals and lockers.

Great place to go hang out or have a date night. There is a large selection of restaurants that range in prices. Parking is easy in the garage and most places will validate your parking if you ask so parking is usually free. In the summer they also show kid movies and in the winter they have an ice rink so it's very family friendly.
