I want to thank the Rocky Mount Police Department for their quick response on the morning of February 14, 2018. Our house alarm system was activated inadvertently and my wife and I were unable to respond to the security monitoring notification. The police were notified and within just a few minutes, a police officer was at our residence checking all the doors and windows to our house. Later, we were able to review this activity with our security surveillance video system. Officer Shan Battle was the responding officer so I want to thank him specifically. I also want to thank Officer Steven Ezell, or neighbor and off duty officer, for his part. I know this seems trifle to some, but I want the public to hear and appreciate the men and women in blue for their heroic efforts and even the little ones like this. My wife and I appreciate their service to us and the public. God bless and stay safe. William Jenkins Rocky Mount Resident

Sgt Sloan should not be in trusted with a badge and a gun! Disgraceful Unlawful actions on PUBLIC photography. Arresting the photographer for a legal activity! 4.3 stars at mo 11 reviews that's very good for PDs I hope this is a isolated case but he's partner went along with Unlawful Actions as well!

Sgt. Sloan is a disgrace to every citizen in our nation. He illegally detained and arrested a man for his legal act of recording in public. :See that this TYRANT is fired. Why should we pay thousands of dollars for the criminal acts conducted by the control freak named Sloan?
