I had an issue with my basement toilet.  Called Rotor-Rooter and tech Matt was sent and he quickly and professionally changed fill valve and flapper.  I had used Rotor-Rooter many times in the past.  My favorite tech for his expertise and professionalism is Walter.  

Roto-Rooter is expensive but their techs are well trained.  In the future I will resume to call them for my home's plumbing issues.

Had an emergency with backed up sewer pipe at night. Called company and receptionist very nice, helpful and sympathetic to my problem. Technician John #2988 was dispatched and he arrived in short amount of time for an after hours call out. He arrived and was very professional, nice and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem and doubled checked to make the sure the problem was fixed. Highly satisfied with the service and technician from the start to the end of my problem. Will call them again for any future problems and would recommend to friends. FIVE STAR SERVICE!!! THANKS.

Glen (tech # 984) is by far the most experienced and knowledgable plumber/tech I have worked with as a property manager. He came once to augur a toilet but advised the blockage was much deeper. After doing a full lift and snake of the waste line, he did discover some metal bolts that were blocking the pipe. 

Beyond plumbing, his knowledge of real estate history, building construction, and building architecture provide a lot more context around how issues come up in the first place. Glen gets straight to the point and tries to fix the issue on his first attempt so the client doesn't have to worry about the issue coming back again.

John, technician #260, was really great.  My mom's house had some recent flooding issues (source was unclear), and he came right on time (actually a little early) per the appointment set up by the dispatch scheduler.  He knew the type of drainage system well despite it being a much older house, and was able to diagnose and solve the problem pretty quickly and expertly.  Mom now has peace of mind and she and I are very grateful.  John was calm and knowledgeable, and he is to be commended for his professionalism practiced within his friendly, approachable personality.

One thing I have to say I was impressed with was how they handled an initial snafu; the initial appointment for them to come by had somehow been messed up by a miscommunication.  I had called to let them know the technician (a different one than John) had never confirmed and they very quickly worked to reschedule around our schedule.  Again, I found the folks I happened to talk to competent, calm and professional.

I don't ever post like this to be honest (this is the first and probably last online review or post I'll ever do), but I felt John and Roto-Rooter needed to be credited for the way they handled our specific situation and resolved it.  I would use them again if God forbid we ever had a need.  Thanks.

Randy, the plumber that came and saved us from a nonstop dripping toilet was excellent. He clearly explained the cause of the situation and how it can be fixed. My only issue was that I scheduled service for the previous day at 9am and given a 12-4 window of arrival. At almost 3 I was called and told that I probably wouldn’t have a plumber sent to me until about 8pm. I know it’s a hectic time of year but when you have an emergency that wait time is entirely too long.
