I had a good experience as far the styling but as a new client coming for the first time I think it could've been handled a little better ( I don't know if it was because I was a new client/not regular).  I was actually passed off to another stylist (maybe I didn't  look like the older professional that I am... ) Since I am paying a good amount of money to be serviced I would have liked the option of saying who I'd like to do my hair. I preferred a natural style but since I was moved to another stylist that didn't do natural hair service I settled for a straighten and curl and that worked out well. I will go back to try for a natural service for the next appointment. Hopefully that works out.

After following the salon owner on Instagram for about a year I booked an appointment and I'm so happy with my decision. My experience at the salon was wonderful from making the appointment with the receptionist to actually getting my hair done. The salon has a very relaxing vibe. Everyone is polite, professional and prompt. After having waited for up to 40min to get started on other salons it was a pleasure to be serviced within 5 min of my arrival at Ryan Foster. My stylist, Anika consulted me on the condition of my hair and made a recommendation based on its condition and conducive to my lifestyle. She was patient, answered all of my questions and explained how to maintain the natural style she recommended. She uses her own product line and makes the natural hair regimen super simple.  I purchased her products and am currently using them on my hair. If you're in need of a natural chemical free hair salon in Philadelphia this is the place!
