Great experience, come prepared to hike. Many trails of many levels of experience. Organized, clean and well guided, map provided is accurate and people working there are nice. Only took bus on the way back and still charges us full price be the only thing that was not to like. Enjoy the Earth here!!!

I lived in Sabino Canyon for years I used to hike this canyon weekly. I still believe it is one of the most beautiful places to hike. I love the tram that takes you to the top if you like.  It is very safe here and good for families. One night i was hiking out of here and it was getting dark, and i saw some Bats! yes Bats! It is really nice desert landscape views with tons of saguaro cactus.

Rode the tram through the canyon. The driver narrated and explained the different plants. Be sure to get off at station 8. You can play and cool off on hot days. For those of you that love hiking there is plenty of trails. Nice visit for those new to the area.

Amazing scenery. Gorgeous saguaro cacti everywhere. Clear, well demarcated paths that go from super easy to hard. Convenient tram takes people to the top, or down, if needed. Bathrooms up front. Ample parking, including the elementary school across the street (off hours).

We really enjoyed the tram ride through the canyon during the afternoon hours. There were many stops to get on and off. Our guide pointed out rock formations, different plants and animals. But she also stated that the concession for the tram had not been renewed. Hopefully, someone else will be contracted to provide the tram service.
