Although this is one of the nicer and cleaner Safeway's it also smaller than the rest. It doesn't have a full bakery or butcher. Many times it runs out of the popular cuts and seafood especially when there's a sale.

Have to add this brief story Walked into the store Saturday morning and it looked like a casually, well dressed Safeway customer was facing merchandise on the beer aisle. I went up to her and asked what she was doing. "I'm the store's new manager. I'm just straightening up." Winner! She transferred from the Mission store and she's happy to be there. Lucky customers. This Safeway Store is always clean and well stocked. The real benefit to shoppers is that Safeway courtesy clerks help with carts into both Davis Court and Jackson.

It's smaller than a regular Safeway and less varities due to its location but it is a good option for the city. Good price.

I often pick up lunch items from the deli counter. The wait is always ridiculous. There is only ever one person working the counter, at the height of the lunch rush. There's no number system, so people all along the counter have to negotiate getting served in the right order. And today, as happens not infrequently, there was no one at the deli counter. Oh someone came over, after people yelled down to the sushi bar area. To say that the deli counter person was gone, and we'd have to wait until they came back. I could have asked for the manager, but I have limited time for lunch, so I left to get something else today. Unfortunately, it's the closest supermarket to my work location, by far.

Glad that there's a supermarket here. Great for picking up lunch. It's a smaller store so they don't have a huge selection but they have most items that you might be looking for.
