Usually people don't know Whole foods' sandwiches are yummy. Especially grilled Golden Gate is my favorite one. I like to eat hot sandwich and beer in their bar. Many folks are enjoy hump day night there.

This place is pricy, but right now seems to be the only one around Market st. where you can buy Three Twins ice cream - love it. Update Sept 2017: after Amazon took over nothing changed here. I still recommend their sushi selection and Three Twins ice cream.

Go to Trader Joe's for the best bang for your buck, go to Safeway when price matters over quality, and go to Whole Foods when you're willing to pay more for better quality (and also more for basically equivalent items). One of the hidden benefits of shopping at Whole Foods is that's it's harder to get the worst junk food (i.e. it's easier to pick up healthy alternatives than search around for the normal junk). Meat costs more, so, generally, get it on special, get it somewhere else, or have some veggie-only nights (note: pre-cut veggies cost more, but are actually the veggies people like).

My shopping experience was great. My only complaint for this night 9/12/17 was the man at the deli. Because of food sensitivities the slicer can't be shared with all meats. I had to ask him to clean the slicer and he wasn't all that happy, but did it.

Store is much nicer and cleaner than Trader Joe's and Safeway. Since the take over from Amazon prices on many products have decreases. May shop here more often.
