The Town of Salina, Oklahoma is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Hudson. Approximately ten miles to the east of the City of Pryor in Mayes County. With an estimated population around 1400 people. The Salina Police Department is headed by the Chief of Police which is appointed by the Town Board. The police Chief is an officer of the Town and has supervision and control of the police department. It is the Duty of the Salina Police Department to apprehend violators of the law and bring them to justice and generally to keep the peace.

The Salina Police Department utilizes the authority and safeguards of the Constitution of the United States and the freedoms cited in the Bill of Rights, the laws and statutes of the State of Oklahoma and the charter and Ordinances of the Town of Salina, to work cooperatively with all segments of the general public and government to provide a safe environment and preserve effectively and efficiently the peace and order of the community.
