Salon Philosophie was created in March of 2009 with the vision of J Beverly Hills Educator and Stylist Sophia Royal.

The concept of this venture was with a major goal in mind in creating & maintaining beauty, sophistication, and self-worth, while promoting the education thereof, thru the philosophy and best practices of upscale cosmetology.

Salon Philosophie believes in that goal of providing Sexy, Healthy & Glamorous Hair.

I was referred to Salon Philosophie by an acquaintance. I was specifically looking for a make-up artist for a photo shoot. I visited the shop and was given the phone number for the make-up artist, Danielle. I called the number I was given, but after 3 days and no call back, I contacted the salon again. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong number the first time so I called the number given to me the second time. One week later still no return call. It was my first and last encounter with the salon. Professionalism goes a long way. Apparently "Danielle" doesn't care how she represents the salon, and if she cares that little why would I spend my money there?

I was looking for a new salon in Vacaville since we relocated to this area.  Josh was listed on devacurl and Yelp showed the salon with good reviews.  I wrote to the salon through Yelp and they responded to text him directly.  I wrote to him asking for an appt and he said "he could take me" when I asked him for pricing, no response.  I called the salon for pricing, they said to text him again.  Again no response.  I cancelled my appt.  After the receptionist went and got him, Josh says he gets so many texts and calls.  Well, guess he won't miss new business and a consistent 20% tip.
