An absolute gem on Tybee! We were thoroughly surprised at how good the food was. We sat at the bar on a busy weekend evening but our service was never compromised. The drinks were fantastic and the food even better! We feasted on the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and the braised short rib. Within walking distance to the beach, this is a place you won’t want to miss!
We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. The staff was prompt and friendly. We had deep fried cauliflower for an appetizer and it was great. I had a shrimp platter that came out hot and plentiful. We were very happy we stopped here. FYI parking can be hard to findFood: 5/5
Got in right away. Quick service and the food was delicious! Boyfriend said his fried mixture of fish was probably the best he'd ever had and the fried green tomatoes had a great crispy crust and different sauces. Definitely would return.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Was on Tybee Island having a look around when we got very hungry. Drove by on our way in so on the way out we stopped for a late lunch. Was promptly seated and ordered our drinks. The drinks arrived and we ordered our meals: fried shrimp basket, brisket grilled cheese and a fried fish sandwich. The food came quickly and tasted great! The staff was friendly and very helpful. If you are out on Tybee and get hungry, stop in and have a bite, it will be great.
We journeyed out from Savannah to spend a day on Tybee Island. We stopped here looking for lunch and a drink before an afternoon on the beach. The drink selection was shockingly varied given what we've seen in Savannah so far,--they even had a unique cider on tap Pomegranate which I was delighted by. The food was delicious and the service a delight. I'd stop back by again if only to try a different cider from the case and another dish or two from the menu.
Excellent food and service. A nice surprise on Tybee. I got all small plates/starters. Great way to try different things. I will return for more. Ate outside on the front deck. Half dozen St. John’s River oysters and a half dozen Canadian oysters. Both were very fresh. No need for the cocktail sauce or horseradish, although they were good. Beer Cheese Hushpuppies were great. The sweetness of the bacon tomato jam cuts through these hot savory bites. Really nice. The mussels in red curry broth were delicious. Recommended by my server, Leslie. He was right. Ask for some extra bread for the broth. But you could drink it like soup.
We stopped by for lunch. I choose the place based on the reviews I saw at website saying “best food ever”. Maybe I was in a bad lucky day or just ordered the wrong things. My crab puttini was tasting nothing than salty:- My husband ordered a fish and grits. It was ok, but again, more salty than should be in our opinion or for our taste. My daughter took the fried shrimp from kids menu, and this was the best option we have ordered… besides all the great reviews I’ve read I wasn’t that lucky while there… maybe you should give it a chance and all was just my bad lucky day there.
FIRE—when I walked in and saw the multicolor beer fridge I figured the food would be good; and it was great! The owner is the chef and isn’t letting anything subpar out of that kitchen. We had the beer cheese hush puppies, the banh mi, and the off-menu peel and eat shrimp. We sat in the bartender’s section and he was amazing! Great food, great service; plus the food is super approachable if you’ve got some more basic friends that don’t want to get into anything too wild. It’s great, easily worth the stop!
What a delightful place! We enjoyed the Shrimp Bruschetta and the Fried Goat Cheese Salad. Unfortunately the Goat Cheese salad is no longer on the menu, however Ben, our wonderful service and bar tender asked the kitchen if they had any ingredients left to make the salad anyway. They did!! That is service! We looked at an older menu online prior to going and that’s how we knew about the salad. Anyway, I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. The shrimp and tomatoes on the bruschetta was so refreshing! Prices are reasonable and it just felt good being there! Way to go Salt Island Fish and Beer!! Until we meet again….
Great food and excellent service. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Blue crab poutine as an appetizer and the salt and pepper shrimp and kalua pig for entrees. Capped off the meal with key lime pie for dessert.
