Outstanding! This was our first time here, having moved to the area not quite a year ago. I was curious, because every time I drove past, it seemed busy. I thought that must say something...cut to tonight: it was my birthday and I wanted to try something new. So glad we tried it! The food was amazing! Top dollar quality at a really reasonable price. The PI Mussels were amazing. All the salad dressings we're homemade (especially loved the buttermilk chive). Great variety of entrees, plus sandwiches and burgers. Our server, Ted (definitely going to ask for him again), recommended the balsamic hanger steak to my husband and he was spot-on: absolutely delicious! I loved my strip with caramelized onions and blue cheese toppings. Can't wait to go back as I saw so many dishes I wanted to try...tomato-basil shrimp over angel hair, the she-crab soup, the calves liver, and the crispy duck. I could go on and on! The  live music was perfect, too! Doug Fankhouser was the performer, and we asked specifically to be seated near him after overhearing him play  from the bar area as we waited for our table. I can't recommend this restaurant more highly!

Seems as if they got their act together. After staying away because of multiple disappointments, we decide to give it another try. We were pleasantly surprised. Good everyday go-to place with daily specials. I had the BLT salad which had fresh crisp greens, topped with breaded chicken breast, that was not dried out,  and an excellent ranch dressing. My wife had potato skins with cheddar cheese and not the pimento cheese listed on the menu. Somewhat of a potato skins expert, she gave it the thumbs up. Friendly competent service but can be slow at times. Good wine selection and nice bar area. 
They need to keep the kitchen open until 10:00 on weekends.

Wonderful calamari and superb she crab soup! Staff is always  warm and welcoming.  We come back every chance we can!

The food is good, the service is good. A few times it lacks being perfect. They have an Early Bird discount that is great, if you are on a budget.

Good rustic little shack of a restaurant! Neat atmosphere. Very busy place. As vegans, we were sceptical about eating at a "fish shack", but accompanied our friends. Pleasantly surprised that we found good, though, as usual, limited fare. We will return. It's a neat place in McLellanville!(sp?)
