Salvage Yard Bar and Grill
"When we opened in 2020, we were taking over a closed pizza delivery and takeout shop called Louie’s Pizza Co. We added to the original Louie’s menu with items from the former Georgio’s Italian Restaurant, as well as some of the very best recipes we’ve come across over the years. The result is Salvage Yard Bar and Grill, a modern Italian restaurant great for dates, special occasions, or just because!"

Small place down on Hampton across from Dairy Queen. Went during happy hour, when they have some of their appetizers for $5. Got mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. The mushrooms were good, but the mozzarella sticks could have been cooked longer. The cheese in the middle wasn't really hot or melted. The pizza was very good, and brought out super hot. Had the St. Louis style, but they also serve Chicago style, too. Sodas are coke products. All in all a good experience. Vegetarian options: Build your own pizza, salads, and impossible burgers. Parking: Small lot behind building
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday after a neighborhood litter cleanup. I was relieved to find a place to cool off from the sun and regain my energy. I tried the Italian salad with the house dressing, and also ordered some fried mushrooms. It was the perfect amount of food, and I really loved the salty cheese sprinkle on the fried mushrooms, as well as the artichoke hearts in the salad. The entire meal was so fresh and just right on a summer day. The server was friendly and took care of many tables professionally. I appreciate that Salvage Yard is so close by and will try to visit more. Vegetarian options: They have veggie pizzas and calzones, as well as appetizers and salads.
Started out with fried mushrooms excellent and wings average. We ordered the St. Louis style, pepperoni & mushrooms with mozzarella cheese. Nice, crisp crust even the middle pieces, the right amount of sauce, and plenty of toppings. Very tasty and wife approved.
The Best Chicago style pizza I've had in St. Louis. A little shallow for true Chicago style. Great potato skins loaded and crispy on the outside chewy on the inside. Service was a bit slow but with short staffing I don't hold that agasint anyone.
The house salad was plenty large enough for two people to share. We had the traditional Chicago style deep dish pizza with sausage, black olives, and tomatoes. It was delicious. Restaurant was clean and service was great. Highly recommend.
Staff is excellent, super friendly and on point! So far I’ve had the deep dish Chicago. It doesn’t disappoint either! Great crust, flavorful and filling! Definitely will be back and explore! Update: they do have the tendency to add an unfortunate amount of onions. Really the only complaint.
First time here and it wasn't too bad! I absolutely LOVED my Moscow Mulesuper strong and flavorful×2 and the build ur own calzonehamburger, green pepper, onion & mushroomsHubby ordered chicken Alfredowhich was bland and flavorless, till he added salt n peppa ‍...we had to ask for straws and even with them being as busy as they werebc I've been in busier, smaller establishments, they weren't very attentive. Overall, it was the patrons and the food that would bring me back
Deep dish pizza was excellent with a nice amount of sauce and crust. The sauce is an important part of my pizza experiences and this sauce did not disappoint. Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a local bar and grill. We will look forward to a future visit and try the calzones which looked quite tempting.
The pizza was great! We had the chicago style deep dish meat lovers, Bob style. We also tried the wings, mozzarella sticks, and potato skins. Everything was good. They only had a few beers on draft, but the available selection was fine.
We started with a house salad, fresh and crisp and house dressing was very good. Got a full salad and it was plenty to share. Then we got a 3 meet deep dish BOB style with stl sauce and mozzarella and provolone. It was AH-MAZING! Will definitely be going back!Dine in: Yes
