This is a GREAT little zoo to take kids under , say 7 years old. You can see the whole thing in under 2 hours, but there's plenty of reasons to stay longer. There's a beautiful carousel, a farm area to walk around that the kids love and the train ride is a must. It's short(but just right for a 2 and 4 year old), and the conductor is terrific and has a great tour-talk. And so the kids can get out of the stroller and unwind, there's a playground with 2 areas, one for tots and one for 5 and up. Very enjoyable without walking miles and spending all day(of course I could spend hours watching the energetic little monkeys).

This is a pleasant zoo. They have large number of birds and monkeys with just a few larger animals. There's a playground for kids and a train that goes in a small circle. They have some barnyard animals as well. It seems that the majority of the animals are sad. There were two macaws in the open, no cages or anything, but they wouldn't fly away. The staff were friendly and I believe it was $10 an adult. Overall, it was an okay place to spend a morning if you don't think of the immense sadness that comes with seeing captive animals.

Zoo is amazing. Still here and already writing this review. Amazing time. Minus one star for food worker Maritza. Very rude young lady and to top off her attitude she put my change into the counter and not in my hand when I ordered food. I dislike being mistreated after paying for entrance anywhere so I will not be returning. As long as you do not want food you should have a good time here

great neighborhood zoo in a city not known for it's wildlife. Minus 1 star for early closing hours and tight parking in front (overflow available) Pave the overflow! great value with an annual pass. friendly staff and never super busy. It's not the San Diego zoo, so don't expect flying whales, but a great day with the little kids.

There are LOTS of monkeys here. If you like monkeys this is the place for you. The playground areas are very nice and maintained. They are adding new features soon to make the zoo even more entertaining. I'd love to see an animal show or interactive animal experience added in.
