This is not a major airport. If I was going to Santa Fe, NM, I would fly into Albuquerque and make the drive. The TSA agents are very overzealous and will perform an extra screening on just about everyone and there checked bags. There are only like 2 flights in and out of this place a day. Very small. Only 1-gate. It is not comfortable cramming a small flight into a small place. The airport does have some charm though.

They are very nice in front of you but in reality they are racist even if you go thru security good they go to your thru your bags just because you are Latino I been there three times and if you go over 50 pound  they want to Charge you 100 dollars this is the worst airport and is outdated

Great airport with Santa Fe charm. Be prepared for the TSA staff to practice every security procedure on many of the pasangers when you depart.

Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. We were on the private airplane side.

It is easy to get into and out of, provided everything runs smoothly. Great for direct flights. If something goes wrong, e.g. flight cancelled, they are not prepared to handle the situation. Better off just making the drive to albequerque, chances are if you have a connection, you will be trying to get there anyway.
