All students welcome! Whether you take one of our classes or work alongside other artists, turning glass into art has never been more fun.

Story

Step into our studio and discover your inner artist. At Sarasota School of Glass, we've been teaching our students to make beautiful works of glass art using the "fusing and slumping" technique since 2000. We have four kilns firing 30 pieces per day, with up to four classes per day. You'll feel at home right away in our project-based classes as you create pieces like vases, candlesticks, and bowls. Students young and old alike are all welcome, and we love celebrating holidays, birthdays, and parties with our community. You can also work alongside other artists in our open studio. Visit us and start your journey to a new passion!

Mission

SSG's mission is to

1. Having our students realize all preconceived ideas of handling glass are false.
2. Removing all fears of handling glass and creating a masterpiece by the most inexperienced student.
3. Having our students leave our school with a feeling of accomplishment.
