You pay a premium for the name not the talent.  I went in for a simple bang trim and they ruined my hair.  My stylist that I used to see here left so I saw someone else and it was a disaster.  I showed the new stylist multiple pictures of what I wanted and what she did looked nothing like what I showed her.  My hair is way to short and crooked.  I am so upset I want to cry.  I even went back in and asked them to fix it and they couldn't.  I will never go back there again.

My last visit to Vidal Sasoon in Scottsdale was a disappointment. After wearing my hair long in a pony-tail for several years I wanted a shoulder-length style and asked for an appointment with one of the directors. I have very thin hair so I asked to have my hair layered. The stylist (1 of the directors) wanted to put me in one of his pre-approved favorite styles which he, apparently, thinks fits everyone. Regardless of my type of hair ( thin and not abundant at all) the stylist said that he would agree to layer my hair only to a certain extent, not beyond that. It was like he had told me "my way or the highway".

I had no choice but accept. The stylist should have checked my hair as soon as I arrived, when my hair was dry, but he did not. He didn't have the opportunity to assess the quality, type, weight of my hair. It didn't take me long to realize that the stylist had no idea exactly what type of hair he was going to work on, as he only saw it when it was wet.The result was a disaster, as I had anticipated. It was so bad that as soon as I came home, with the hair I had left, I pulled my hair up in a short pony-tail and forgot about the whole story. Will never, ever, go back to Vidal Sasson Scottsdale. I would rather spend 500 dollars on a good stylist than 125 for something so second-rate.

I have been here to get my hair colored and cut. They rub your head for five minutes which is heavenly. My hair feels like silk when I leave. The hair stylists are friendly and follow your direction.

Well when I go for my haircut I go to Mark, he is just amazing!!! so great and really nice! He isn't one of those stylist that just goes "uh huh ...oh yeah? that's interesting" when you talk to him, he is super talkative and amazing stylist! 

However for bleaching, I went on Friday (August 23rd, 2013) I went to Nathan, since he is the "most experienced" and it was my first time bleaching. I saw him twice for a consultation to make sure what my hair color was gonna look like and everything. He was cool about making sure NOT to do my roots, but he seemed like he wasn't really sure what I wanted. For instance, he gave me an under-layer of bangs when I showed/told him that I wanted my front part bleached. Also, what got me a bit ticked off is that he said he could make my hair blonde in one bleaching WITHOUT it turning orange (what-so-ever) and it turned orange within two days of "living with it". So now I have orange hair and I have to go to school like this. 

Its a good salon but you have to pretty much show them the exact way you want your hair (when it comes to bleaching anyways) otherwise they just do what they think you want and kick you out of the chair and say "if you don't like it come back".
