Story
Provides natural, sustainable furniture, and organic, hypoallergenic mattresses and bedding for an environmentally friendly home in Santa Cruz, CA. Established in 2008. Although our company is young, the formation started years ago when Michael Baetge, the owner of SC41 Furniture, Inc., founded California Futons, Inc. For more than two decades California Futons has offered natural, organic and chemical-free futons. Today, with an ever increasing awareness about our environment, choices are now not only more diverse - sustainable harvested wood, nontoxic finishes and furniture upholstered with sustainable and organically produced, low-impact dyed fabrics - but abundant, making eco-friendly material more affordable than ever. Out of this social, environmental and health conscious movement, SC41 Furniture came to life.

Great Store.  Love the mattress options they have (their own brand) .   Customer service and guidance is exceptional and there to support you along they way IF you are deciding on a mattress.  Process to pikc a mattress takes about 1 hour, so wear comfortable clothes and bring time. 
 There are many options and lots of time spent laying on mattresses and comparing.  Furniture and other items appear to be of good craftsmanship.  Can't vouch for it as we didn't buy any.

Terrific customer service, high quality furniture, pretty high prices...but I go here when it's time to buy something nice for my house!

I bought a bed here five years ago and it continues to amaze me and my friends who check it out. The service was excellent, the bed is comfprtable, firm, adjustable and durable. I'm so glad there are people making wonderful eco-friendly furniture locally. Thanks SC41!!

I am so bummed on these people. I paid almost 4 thousand dollars for a custom dresser. It was supposed to be here in 6-8 weeks. At week 6 I didn't hear form anyone so I called and was told I'd hear from someone and that they'd email the vendor. a few days later nothing. So I called. I asked Brandy to please call the vendor directly and to get back to me. Nothing. So I called again a day later. I was told the vendor wasn't responding. I said that I was ready to go ahead and cancel the order and that I had a bad feeling about it. She said she'd figure out the process and call me. A few hours later, nothing. It's sad to me when you get back service. It's REALLY sad when you try to support local businesses AND pay top dollar and you're treated like they are doing you favor. DO YOURSELF a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

This place has the most amazing beds and pillows!  The oxygen pillow is the best pillow I have found for my patients and their cervical spine.  Not many places carry it, so I'm thankful that SC41 does.  This pillow is also great for sleep apnea.  I'm a Chiropractor in Los Gatos, and my patients travel to Soquel just to purchase this pillow.  Their beds are top notch as well.  Highly recommend them!
