Looking to relocate to the Charlotte area, was pointed in the direction of Schumacher Homes.  What a great experience.  Had the opportunity to attend a lunch and learn.  Every person we encountered from the General Manager, sales staff, project managers were able to answer every question they were friendly and knowledgeable.  The model homes we toured were beautiful, and they even were able to put in touch with an agent to look at land.  Feel this will be our builder if we make the move to NC.

RACIST NEW HOME CONSULTANT!!!

On July 29, 2017, my daughter and I completed a tour of model homes for this custom home builder. We could not have been more displeased, for our experience was degrading and utterly disappointing. 

When we arrived, the New Home Consultant (short Caucasian female) who never told us her name was rude and unwelcoming. Perhaps, she has a problem catering to and working with potential home buyers of the African-American race, but NEVER WERE WE TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT WHEN TOURING OTHER AREA CUSTOM BUILDERS AS WE WERE AT PAUL SCHUMACHER HOMES!!!! 

Area competition has always been professional, welcoming, and shown top notch customer service to us from the moment we entered their door, but I cannot say the same happened at Schumacher Homes. 

We arrived after 2:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon. We live in the Charlotte NC area.  What was so upsetting is that this woman treated us like we had not one dollar to build a home; when in fact, we are a six figure income household. Never were we asked to complete the typical potential buyer's information form, nor were we asked what our needs were in order to understand whether or not the builder could complete the requirements of our home design and build.

The interesting part about our tour is that, per the couple immediately before us, and through observation of those Caucasian couples arriving after my family, the New Home Consultant spent significantly less time with my daughter and me than she did with anyone else. The older Caucasian couple who toured in front of us, said the New Home Consultant should have communicated more with us. They had to share all that she should have told us, but made an effort to tell them. Conversely, total time she spent with us was three minutes maximum.  As a result, that woman who was the face of THIS builder RUINED THE CHANCE OF POTENTIALLY BUILDING ON OUR LOT. 

My advice to this builder is to remove that wicked racist witch at the door because money has one color and once you have it in your bank, unless you tell folk, people will never know the race of the one who you received it from. Learn to RESPECT PEOPLE OF THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY BECAUSE TRUTH IS THIS COUNTRY AND THE MAJORITY OF ALL INVENTIONS AMERICANS ENJOY OR HAVE BUILT UPON ARE DUE TO THE IDEAS AND WISDOM GIVEN TO THE AFRICAN AMERICAN RACE AND GOD WHO STANDS WITH HIS PEOPLE.
