Horrible experience! Purchased appliances with the specific understanding that all hoses and hook ups came with them. Appliance delivery was not at the time quoted. Also, no hoses or hookups. I paid for install and haul off and received neither. Then salesman argued with me on the phone that he was right and we were wrong, MULTIPLE TIMES! At the end, I gave up. I just said to at least honor what I did pay for. I said, "Please have them come over and haul off the appliances. I paid for that much in my install and haul off price". Salesman then informed me that they would have to charge me for ANOTHER DELIVERY CHARGE! Just an overall horrible experience. Salesman, in my opinion, misinformed us to get the sale. Why would I pay for installation and haul off, but then not buy the hoses when the delivery guys will not install anything unless you buy hoses with the appliances? Why would he let me do that? Please shop at Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot, JCPenny, etc. for appliances. Ask lots of questions of the salesmen. Sears will sucker you into buying and then not honor the sale later on.

***UPDATE**** I am updating my review from 1 star to 3. Following the below written ordeal, my dryer finally arrived some three weeks later. Unfortunately, my brand new dryer had a bad memory board. More drama ensued, a service tech was dispatched, he confirmed the issue and at that point- shaking and on the verge of tears- I went down to the showroom and demanded they take back both the Washer and the Dryer and replace them. Jimmy was the store manager and for once, he actually made me feel like someone felt responsible for my miserable experience and was willing to help. He had a brand new washer and dryer delivered as promised the next day. The delivery guy tried to light my house on fire by spilling water on the 210 outlet and arching a huge electricity bolt across my newly installed drywall, (seriously), but the washer and dryer both work well. I still contend Sears Delivery is the most awful experience anyone can possibly endure and their customer service is nothing short of painful, but I will say Jimmy at the showroom and the Tech they sent were both kind and helpful. They deserve 5 stars. Sears deserves 0. If you do choose to use the store- work only with Jimmy. Do NOT call the 1800 number for ANY reason! Good luck and may the odds be forever in your favor. _____________________________________________________________________ ORIGINAL POST The only thing worse than losing our house and everything we own in the flooding of Harvey has been dealing with Sears delivery. I desperately needed to wash clothes and attempt to regain a glimpse of normalcy in our lives. So we went down to our local Sears store to purchase a washer and dryer to put in the garage while our house is being rebuilt. They were having a decent sale and advertised the ability to hold purchases for up to six months so we also purchased refrigerator. I didn't need the refrigerator yet but they stated we would have to pay an additional $98 delivery fee. So we agreed to have everything delivered together. Delivery day comes and the dryer and refrigerator are there but no washing machine- (the only item I really needed). The driver has no idea where the washer is- he's just a sub contracted driver. I called the store and they stated it was on backorder. (Mind you, no mention of this when we purchased the washer nor when they called to confirm delivery.) He's not able to tell me anything so he transferrs me to a different sales agent who states she has arranged for a new delivery in two weeks. Delivery day comes, no call. So I call them. The store isn't open yet so I call the 800 number. I get transferred to three people in India and am on hold for an hour. Finally, they say they can't find my order. They will research it and contact me in 72 hours. NIGHTMARE. Thank you Sears for making an awful situation worse. So glad I paid $4,000 and a delivery fee to not receive my purchase. One star is far to generous. Go to Home Depot. Prices are similar and they actually deliver the product.

I just bought a fridge durning their last friends and family sale. I did a lot of shopping around to find the best deal and Sears was it! On top have having the best price, they had the best customer service. They actually know about the products they sale where Lowes had the paint department trying to answer my appliance questions. I initially went to the store with my heart set on an LG fridge. I worked with Matt, a sales associate, who was extremely knowledgeable in all things appliances and the different options on delivery and financing. After learning so much, maybe too much, about the different features available in refrigerators I wanted to get a Kenmore that was on the floor. The Kenmore was considered a "Hot Buy" and wasn't available for financing. I unfortunately had no option but to finance. I almost walked out the door with nothing but Matt found the same fridge in a different size that was CHEAPER with 24 months no interest! He also explained that I could price match for two weeks after my purchase. That next day I saw the same fridge for $150 cheaper! I called Matt and he got $150 credited to my account! I am so thankful I got to work with Matt. He was so knowledgable and cared about getting me the best deal. After I bought the fridge he showed me all the other appliances that would match when I go to buy the rest for my kitchen. The phone was ringing like crazy but he still took great care of me. He also had a line of customers waiting to work with him, now I know why. If you need any appliances I defiantly recommend seeing Matt at Sears!

Paid cash for an electric stove, picked it up, because the $90 delivery fee was ridiculous. Even tho it says free shipping over $49 , free delivery for $399 or more. Stove door was defective, didn't close properly on one side. Waited all day for serviceman, came an hour late, spent five minutes to tell me it needed new hinges..order would take 2 weeks to get them. Got a call today, hinges wouldn't be in til August. Tried to return the stove and order a new one from same location, wouldn't take it back, said I had to return to Houston location..the same place the new one was coming from. But wouldn't be able to p/u the new one there, it had to be delivered to the store where I bought first one. What in the world do they expect from me? I blew up, told them I'd expect a full refund on site when I brought the stove back to them! What a crock!
