Story

Seaside Tropical Fish specializes in salt water fish and coral. We feature a 4000 gallon salt water system carrying LPS & SPS corals and everything in between. We also feature an additional 2000 gallon salt water fish system that carries an extensive variety of fish and invertebrates at one time. Seaside receives new shipments of fish & coral every week so our selection is always different, making us the best tropical fish store in orange county.

One of the best selections of corals and coral frags I've seen in Orange county. Amazing looking clams in the back of the shop. Big selection of supplements and additives. All of their fish looked well taken care of and incredibly healthy. Shop is very clean, staff is very friendly and up beat, and the shark pond is super cool to look at, and you can feed them. This will most definitely be my new local fish shop.

I don't mind driving 30+ minutes to visit this store every weekend, staff and owner are nice and friendly but you should do your own homework before buying rather than come to the store and asking them for advises, their answer way off compare to google search or advise you getting from forum folks. The price are in acceptable range and live stock look decent, they should remove the freshwater section and focus only saltwater because it's nothing there except few cheap normal freshwater selection.

Hands down my favorite LFS in Orange County. David (the owner) and all his staff are always super friendly and ready to help. I'm always very particular in the fish or coral I get so I basically grill them on how long they've had the fish/coral, is it eating, etc. and they never once give me a hard time for asking so many questions. If they do not know the answer they will look it up for me. Also, I can count on them to order me in supplies or fish that they may not have in stock. Granted, if I'm looking for a super rare coral I'll go online. But, I have never once had a  fish die on me (that wasn't my fault) from this store-- I can't say the same about some of the other local fish stores. From what I've experienced they have the healthiest fish in town. 

Additionally, I currently have saltwater tanks, but I originally started out with freshwater and I wish I had known about his store when I had freshwater tanks. He has very reasonable prices and a lot of stock at all times. Plus they always have weekly deals that they send out via email.

And to the other review down there asking for a discount on multiple fish....I've been a regular customer for the last 4 years and he always gives me good deals. BUT if it were my first time coming into a store I would NEVER demand a discount and then go pout about it online if I didn't get my way...It's called a business for a reason.

I've been to all the fish stores in orange county and this is one of the best ones around. they always have the best fish selection and all the tanks are clean and show healthy fish. the staff is very friendly and always there to answer questions and get your fish for you. Dave the owner is extremely helpful and strives to have everything in stock all the time. I would come here even if I lived 40 or more miles away and once you come here you will too. 

P.S. - you'll love the weekly specials on fish and invertebrates!!

Great place. Good variety of corals and a great frag section too. Pricing is very good for saltwater fish.
