We are a family owned used bookstore since 1993 carrying a wide variety of used fiction and non-fiction books

Story

We have been in business since 1993 selling used books over the counter and online. We have a huge customer base and pride ourselves in selling a variety of quality books. Everything from paperbacks, hardbacks and audio books, ranging from kids books to metaphysical paranormal and everything in between. We offer trade credit that pays for half of your purchase, we do consignment and we have donated hundreds of books to local charities, fund raisers and the local prisons.

One of the best used book stores I've ever experienced. The building is very small, but /he owner puts every space to use, full of books. Very well organization and TONS to choose from.

So many books, so little time! They have a good selection of fantasy and sci-fi as well as a nice little children's area.

We were surprised to find a used book store in little ol' Independence. The owners are nice, and we appreciate their book buying habits. They'll take a lot of things others wouldn't, even if you don't get much for them. And you can get X amount in cash, or 2X in credit. The way credit works is when you make a purchase, you can use credit to pay up to 50% of your bill. The place isn't huge, but they've got books packed in everywhere. Most are old; they don't seem to have a good turnover. The fiction and paperback sections, two that I don't use, take up most of the store. There are no tech books to speak of, and a limited selection of gardening, arts and crafts, etc. They allow the occasional well behaved dog in the store, too; this made it a perfect rainy day treat to get out with our pup, Winston. They have an interesting selection of culture/etiquette books, and a good section for northwest interests as well.

I've been back a few times, and I've loved this place every time I walk in. I recommend it to anyone looking for a bookstore. Especially for Sci-Fi and Fantasy fans, this is the place to go for reasonably (and often very reasonably) priced books. For Sci-Fi/Fantasy fans, there are 12 bookcases full of just paperback, and another bunch of hardback. Can't say enough good things about this gem of a bookstore!

You can get lost in this store among the many shelves (well-organized!) of books - a great variety of subjects here, I usually hit the natural history, classics, and asian sections which always have more tempting books than I can afford to buy. I have gotten some great Folio Society and similar quality editions at very fair prices. Best part is that the owners seem to love the book biz. Allow time to browse!
