Read Every Day.
Lead a Better Life.
At Laurie’s Paperback Exchange it is our belief that with the competition in the bookselling market today, personal service is our best tool for attracting and keeping customers.
We at Laurie’s Paperback Exchange are book fans, as well as booksellers. All employees are well read and have diverse tastes. Think of us as your book concierge. Our store is clean, well lighted, and organized. Our books are “Good”, “Very Good” or “Excellent” quality.
We have a facebook page, and information about our hours and store policy are in the “about” section. We post reading related items nearly every day.
We will give “Store Credit” for (paperback) books in good to excellent condition that you would like to trade.
The cost of the books at Laurie’s Paperback Exchange is 50% of retail.
When you trade with us, for your final bill you can pay half with your “Store Credit” and half with cash or debit.
(A book that retails for $7.99 costs $4.00; when you trade pay $2.00 with cash or debit and $2.00 of your “Store Credit”.)
“I opened a book and in I strode.
Now nobody can find me.
I've left my chair, my house, my road,
My town and my world behind me.
I'm wearing the cloak, I've slipped on the ring,
I've swallowed the magic potion.
I've fought with a dragon, dined with a king
And dived in a bottomless ocean.
I opened a book and made some friends.
I shared their tears and laughter
And followed their road with its bumps and bends
To the happily ever after.
I finished my book and out I came.
The cloak can no longer hide me.
My chair and my house are just the same,
But I have a book inside me.”
