We were immediately drawn into the full open Cafe entrance--peering in was an adorable setup! A modern take on grab-and-go sandwiches using quality ingredients that highlight the complimentary flavors of sweet brioche bun and savory filling. I love the simplistic menu and the esthetically pleasing plant decor hunged around the order & pickup counter, as well as the potted plants in the seating areas. I say, a very instagrammable backdrop for your equally tasty meal!
I love when a place deliberates on their interior design aesthetic and seems to come to the unanimous agreement that their interior design strategy is 'plants, in excess'. I'm here for it, honestly. Also for the tiramisu latte which I probably should have gotten iced but it was a little cold outside. Also should have gotten food, because it looked phenomenal and came out in terribly cute packaging.
Great vibe. The place looks like if NYC and LA had a baby. There's a minimalist, bare-bones feel about this cafe that is so soothing and relaxing. The white brick, white walls, hardware mixed with plants gives a great juxtaposition. The music is definitely a vibe and great music for a cute lunch date, studying or just catching up on errands. Plenty of seats on the ground floor and the second floor. I came at 11 am on a Monday and it was mostly empty. The service is great. The guy at the counter was nice and helpful. I only planned to come for some work so I just ordered a mocha $5 - reasonable for NYC and it was delicious and rich. They also have sandwich and smoothie options. The only reason I took a point of is because if something is advertised as a Cafe, I would expect that their patrons are the student demographic who need a good Cafe to study, do homework, or research. Well, unfortunately, they do NOT have WiFi.
Love this cafe so much! Great coffee and sandwich. 2 stories. Lots of seats. They don’t have wifi on the weekend though. Have restroom. Will def come back!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
Love this cafe. The ambiance is beautiful, the coffee is delicious and some of the best in the city! I am a mocha lover and this is definitely one of the best I’ve had. I’ve been a few times now and a friend had one of their sandwiches last night and really enjoyed it as well. They have a small gorgeous upstairs loft area, great for small groups or personal seating as well as additional seating downstairs. Only thing to note is last I checked they do not have WiFi - their sign says “sit and talk to each other” very cute and avoids people taking up space for hours. Would highly recommend to anyone!
New Cute Korean Cafe in town! I love their egg toasts and drinks! The bulgogi toast is very filling and the tiramisu latte has a whole scoop of mascarpone on top! The service was great and the decorations are beautiful. Would definitely recommend and come back again.
The cutest lil cafe for sandwiches and coffee! While the egg sandwiches were delicious and buttery, the real memorable part of this place was the greenery. You are greeted by the most aesthetic display of hanging plants by the counter when you first walk in and can find more plants hanging around the shop. Perfect place to work while you sip on a delicious cup of coffee.
The food was really good and the nicely presented. The chairs were uncomfortable and the lady in the front gave horrible customer service and was rude for no reason because I am an extremely nice and patient person she rolled her eyes and acted as if she didn’t want to be there.
The hot chocolate and BLT were delicious!!! The other drink was a bit too sweet for us but it was expected since it came with a wafer sweet. Unfortunately it looks like they don’t allow people to use their laptops there since most tables had a sign that said “laptop free zone”; which I get why is there but I would love to just work there even if I have to use my hotspot. They should consider allowing this in the future! Also if you live in LIC or close to a ferry, you can take it to 34th st. and just walk a couple of blocks…which makes the transit a lot more beautiful.
I always wanted to visit a cafe like this; Semicolon Cafe is just right. It is very spacious and calm with greenery everywhere. It is very aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. The food is awesome as well, I got the chicken sandwich and it was just great.
