Beautiful State Park with well maintained trails. Blazes are well marked and the trail map online is accurate. 3.7 Mile Walk around the lake is beautiful, with mild gains in elevation and really nice scenery. Very few people were out while we were on the trail, passes two joggers and a dog walker. Parents: Nice place for a walk with kiddos. There are also 2 playgrounds that we saw and a disc golf course. EV drivers: No charging available.

We visited the place during summer time on weekend . It's a very clean park with nice trail, and picnic area with plenty of seating area a place to barbecue. I've enjoyed the clean water for Canoe and Kayak. The price for kayak and Canoe is very reasonable but the vest we're very dirty and old some were wet and had bad smell.

The Winter Lights is just a fun event to drive at night to see the light decoration in the park. We did notice a few additions this year, which is great as well as seeing the year after year standards; the castle, the twirling gingerbread, teddy bearland and the light tunnels. The best time to go is during the weekdays, it's a few dollars cheaper and since it's more sparse you can really slow down and take your time. My only recommendation would be that ALL cars were required to drop down to parking lights. Headlights in your mirrors or coming at you really take away from the beauty of the decorative lights.
