Iv been working with Mr. Shaddock for 4 months now on my Stand up and striking. He is a awesome instructor! With his years of experience as a fighter and teacher he helps get past all the "Fluff" and shows you whats REAL, AND he makes it Easy and Fun. I have recommended him to my friends and would recommend him to anyone! Beginners looking to learn how to throw punch combos, and pros wanting to get ready for a big match. Bones Shaddock is your guy! Dont let his tough look fool you!  Hes a very caring and knowledgeable instructor who will go out of his way for his students.

My whole family takes classes at Shaddock.  I think this is the only place in the area that offers wrestling, jiujitsu, and boxing.  My 4 y/o son has taken the regular classes and the summer camp.  I like that he is learning self defense skills and having fun at the same time.  All of the kids in the class were super friendly and protective of him.  My husband and I took the FitBox class.  It was something fun for us to do together and get a great workout in at the same time.  In addition to be a very skilled instructor, John is also accommodating with classes and worked with us to fit it into our schedule.  Another plus is that the prices can't be beat compared to other martial arts classes.

I have been working with John Shaddock for nearly two years. This is a small local gym with a big heart. John is devoted to helping everyone, whether it be in a class environment or personal training. It doesn't matter if you are 5 or 55. My kids have done MMA classes and love it. This this isn't a regular pumping iron gym, not cross fit ,nor is it an MMA/ Karate belt factory. It is affordable and accessible training that isn't just ordinary.  Show up, work hard, learn, have fun and see results. 
It isn't rocket science just a great place to train.

I am 60 years, Coach Shaddock has been working with me since last November. My objectives at the start were, getting in shape, discipline, an self-defense. Coach John designed a program for us to work on, I have just finished my first 20 sessions and signed up for another 20 sessions. Started out with proper stretching techniques, cardio work, and basic boxing skills. I'm in the best shape since my twenties, stamina has increased and a clear frame of mind. Its your program with Coach's guidance to keep you on course. Coach John will encourage you to work hard but also to have fun, to enjoy it, and to accomplish your objectives. My objectives are still the same but to enhance my skills from what I have learned, Thanks Coach!!!

My wife found Shaddock MMA Fitness for me when we moved to Eldersburg and I was looking for a new place to train.  Recovering from some injuries and surgery, as well as a move to a sedentary job had me swell up to my highest weight I had ever been.  I tried some of his classes and loved them, signing up quickly.  I lost almost 30 pounds over the next year and continue to train whenever I can.  The atmosphere and people that train there are excellent and the classes support all fitness levels.  There is nothing better for me than a great workout combined with martial arts skills training.  Highly Recommended for those interested in a fun workout as well as those looking to learn and improve their striking and grappling skills.
