This was my first Rally and I was fortunate to stay at Shade Valley. We chose to dry tent it (no water or power) and had a wonderful experience. The grounds were safe, clean and well maintained. The showers were very clean no matter the time of day used. The bands were awesome and the feel of the venue was relaxed, spacious but not too large, and a perfect view from every angle. The staff was friendly and professional and there was no disorderly conduct as I was told to expect at any campsite for the Rally. We plan to make this site our regular stay location every time we visit. Thank you for a wonderful time!

My husband and I stayed the entire week for the 2016 Sturgis Rally and I cannot express enough how wonderful our stay was. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we were well accommodated. The campground was clean and well taken care of. I was sad to see that it is for sale because this place is perfectly ran. See you next year

My wife and I attended the 2015 Rally for the first time and had the extreme good fortune of making our reservations for a cabin at Shade Valley. I like a bed off the ground and my wife likes to tent camp. These rustic cabins were the perfect solution. It gave my back a rest, kept us out of the elements and still gave us the flavor of camping. They were clean and very reasonably priced. I like that my wife was very happy with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers. We were very near a bathroom building and that was very convenient for me. When I return to the Rally, i will be returning to Shade Valley. Besides the great accommodations we had a blast!

Best place to stay!...they Know how to run a business! The crew is constantly Cleaning bathrooms and restocking toilet paper, and basically on top of Everything. Nothing looks worn out, yet it has that rustic wild west feeling. Everyone is nice, and there's nothing sketchy or unsafe about it at night. Usually the noise stops by 1am or so. Overall it's a good safe normal place, without feeling like a police state, lol..

2016 will be my 5th year staying at Shade Valley. Haven't seen another that I'd consider. In general, the staff are friendly and service is great. Only CON: First year I stayed there it was $80.00 per person for the week. This year it will be $165.00. I think the increases over the years are a little steep.
