We used to go to Sharkeys often when we lived closer. Recently their service has declined.  I scheduled a haircut for our two boys the day prior.  I drove from Castle Rock and ran into traffic with work they were doing with a crane on Lincoln.  I called and said that we were stuck in traffic but would be there soon.  I was told to come on in they would make it work.  When I arrived there were three woman at the counter and no one else in the salon.  I was then told they may only be able to get to one hair cut and would likely not be able to do both.  I explained that I called and we came from Castle Rock.  They asked if I wanted to try for one.  I declined because I did not want to have to take may three children to another establishment for the hair cut they could not do.  Instead I went across the street to Sport Clips. Sport Clips has been getting lots of our service recently because I can walk in wait no longer then 20 min and get our boys their hair cuts.  I was very disappointed when I had called ahead that we were in traffic, they told me they would make it work and then upon arrival they could not do the hair cuts.  We were on time for one haircut and 10 min late for another. But no one was in the establishment expect us.  I'm not sure we will be back to Sharkeys.

Great place! Took my 2 yr old in for his first haircut and his 3 yr old sister for a trim. The stylist was way patient and super kid friendly. She painted my daughter's nails and styled/cut her hair and my daughter couldn't have been happier. The same stylist was able to keep my 2 yr old still and was so fast and made him look so good I couldn't believe it. I was expecting a tough time like the older brother and sisters did with their first haircuts, but she was a pro and handled my children with the utmost curtousy and respect I could ever hope for. Will definitely return next time they need a cut. Fantastic place thank you.

This was my 5 year old daughter's first time coming to this salon. I was very excited to learn about this salon and decided to give them a try due to their high google ratings. We scheduled an appointment online and didn't have to wait long at all, which was great. 
Everything seemed like it went downhill from there. Her painted nails were very sloppy and rushed, and her hair cut was done in 2 minutes or less. I was very clear on the length I wanted cut and she took off an additional inch and a half because she couldn't cut straight. She kept blaming my daughter for moving, but my daughter wasn't wiggling at all. Then she quickly opted to do a braided side pony tail that was so sloppy it looked like my 10 year old son did it. After getting home and taking the braid out to get a good look at her hair, it is extremely uneven!! Now I understand why she was so quick to throw it in a ponytail. 
My only expectations were for my daughter to have a decent hair cut and to enjoy the "experience" this place offers. They had her in and out in maybe 5-8 minutes. There was no wait either, so I don't understand the hurry. 
The salon looks adorable and they have a great concept, but overall very disappointed with their quality of service and will not be returning.

I would not recommend this place at all! Arrived on time for appointment, staff extremely unfriendly and gave no indication of a huge wait. Waited 20 minutes before finally leaving after a customer walked in and was taken immediately while we and 4 other customers remained waiting. Huge waste of a Saturday afternoon - what's the point of making an appointment. Will not be returning!!

Got there early & had to wait for a late show, unpleasant worker argued with my husband about cutting the hair shorter on our son and it still was too long in one part. Overall we've had more pleasant cuts elsewhere & won't be back.
