First, I'm from out of state. The bouncer takes my ID and starts trying to bend it and then asks for my "real" ID because "real ones don't bend like that". The second guy takes it and does the same thing, but says to let me in after comparing to my college ID. 10/10 disappointed I even walked in the door.

Creepy guys always swoop in on the drunk girls on the dance floor. So if you're not into that stay away from the dance floor when it's packed. On the flip side of it, it's called the skank tank for a reason. Pretty dead during the summers. (Since all the 18 year olds are gone)

This bar is the definition of a disappointment. Yeah, there's a line outside, but that's because it takes the 2 girl bouncers about 2 minutes to collect each persons steep cover charge. The spending doesn't stop there though, be prepared for specials such as "$3.50 (5 oz) wells" - "$7.25 pitchers" - "$3 (1 oz) shots" - "$14 fishbowls" all coming from inexperienced, inefficient bartenders. If you're not there to drink, but maybe want to catch a game on t.v. bring your glasses because they have a few 15" t.v.'s scattered around the bar. Also if you are in the mood to dance channel yourself back 8 years because that's the music you'll be treated to coming out of an unimpressive sound system. Don't even try to play pool on their 2 available pool tables because you will find warped sticks and slanted tables. To top it all I am warning you not to bring your plastic because this bar hasn't entered the new age and will not take credit cards or start tabs. If you're looking for a good time do yourself a favor and head down to Iowa City. Yeah, the bars there are 21, but you will find dj's, real bartenders, great atmosphere's, amazing drink specials ($2 you call it, $4 fishbowls, $3 pitchers, $1 bombs etc.), and an overall great time. If you must go out in Cedar Falls do NOT go to Sharky's or you will leave full of regret.

Well i frequent Sharky's and I love it, ya you have to pay a cover but they allow minors, how do you expect them to make money without it? There are other bars on the same block that dont allow minors and still charge cover!!! There wells are $2.75 for a 9 oz drink, not sure where this no name user got his info but if you look on the bottom of your cup it tells you exactly how much it is. Sure fishbowls are more expensive but its the only drink you need all night with 10+ shots in it. The Iowa City prices that this user is talking about are on weeknights with specials, which sharkys also has. I went there last thursday, paid $5 and drank FREE beer from 8 to Midnight!!!! then after midnight it was $3.50 for a 32oz beer!!! obviously this Nov 7th user is an iowa city bar associate and is upset about there minor ban in the town and is taking it out on there competitors...that are not even in the same town. Ya there are 2 15" TV's BEHIND the bar and 2 46" TVs around the main bar, as well as a 50" on their beer garden(that is outside), another 50" at their upstairs bar and another 30" behind the upstairs bar. The most expensive drink sharkys has other than the fishbowl is $5 but that is for gray goose...everything else is $3.50 or less.
