Shear Power is amazing. Lois, the owner, did corrective color for me and it turned out absolutely beautiful. I love it!! She's is the best around hands down. If you need hair color done, go see her. She's incredible! Everyone who works there is so nice and very professional. I came in with orange hair and left an icy platinum blonde with an awesome haircut as well. Could not be happier. I will not be going anywhere else and would highly recommend.

I moved here from London in 2005, where I always had my hair cut by Sassoon.  Had a terrible time finding someone in Charlottesville could give my very curly hair the careful shaping it needed.  Then someone told me about Lois at Shear Power.  She does a truly wonderful job -- even better than Sassoon in London!  It looks great right after it's cut, and also it grows out well so it still looks good six weeks later.

For more than 25 years, the fine people at Shear Power have provided me with great service and professional results.
I do not ever remember receiving a bad haircut from them.

Professional and friendly   It feels like family. Eyebrows by Cora are a must ! Best coloring and cut I've had in forever. I'm a regular now!
