Update- the resort has been purchased and under new management so book your reservations now!!! The sort is in forclosure, hoping a good team buys and brings the property back to what it should be. It's a prime spot and to bad nobody can run it for what it is, waterfront resort. I live I the lodge which are condos and time shares and I love it right in the middle of the resort. 5 stars for the resort!! Hopefully they bring a restaurant and pub in here. Time will tell.

We were here for a wedding and stayed in one of the houses they offer. It was a beautiful house but their cleaning staff needs to do much better! My mother and I were sharing an upstairs bedroom with a bathroom. I found a blood glucose strip on the floor, that had been used!! Also in the house were my aunt, uncle, and cousin, not one of us is diabetic so I know it was not used by one if us!! Disgusting!!!! The house definitely needed a good deep cleaning! At the building where the reception was held that women's bathroom had massive amounts of mold growing on the ceiling! I know it's a humid place but it was out of control! For the amount that was paid everything should have been exceptional!

TERRIBLE customer service and dirty! We held a wedding nearby - thankfully not at Sheepscot. We reserved many room and cottages a year before the wedding. A couple months before the wedding - only by chance because one of our guests called to confirm - we found out they were selling off some of the cottages. Our guests were never called when their cottages were sold and told they needed to find new accommodations. The groom had to call the manager Tom and insist a list be sent to him so HE could call the guests. To date, refunds have not been given! On the day of the wedding, one of the guest’s credit card was charged the balance of a cottage. He wasn’t in the cottage, it had been sold! Still no refund! Tom was rude and not helpful at all. No apologies given. Prior to us arriving, they didn’t answer the phone. We got a recording. I have pictures of the carpet in our room. Stains from one end of the room to the other. My husband and I wouldn’t take our shoes off until we got in bed. I do not recommend Sheepscot Inn. The pictures on line are very deceiving - probably taken years ago. It is really unfortunate because the location is beautiful. ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH!

We did not stay here overnight but we attended. Wedding at the resort. The place for the ceremony and reception was beautiful and well set up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the good was decent and the views were spectacular because it is right on the water.

Margaret did an AMAZING job for my wedding Oct. 2017! The place was beautiful n the food was delicious!!! There were awkward resort owner conflict prior to the wedding, but it pulled together well. Lodging on the other hand was a nightmare of dirty, unclean, lack of power, lack of hot water, over charging my guest, not refunding them and broken equipment craziness. With that said, the resort is gorgeous. Just needs upkeep and management.
