Yes the vet is so rude I don’t like him but my family been going there 4 years and going to another vet is out of the question because of my dog Terra she goes to Top Dog and the people that work there also work at this vet and my dog is terrified of everything and seeing these people makes her feel more comfortable witch is a huge plus plus the old man seems to be more understanding when you bring him a dog that been mistreated he does have a soft spot 4 animals some days he doesn’t act like it and if you call him and he said he too busy it’s because 1 in the whole place yes that place isn’t big but rather it’s a yearly check up or something wrong he wants too see every single patient and the girls up front are always really nice and one of them told on some days they get a little over 40 dogs because people not only in Shelbyville go there but people also from Rushville also go’s there

Took my elderly cat there for a routine tooth pull while Dr Epler was out on medical leave (this was in November) and someone else was filling in. I was told he was having trouble with the anesthesia and the vet wouldn't let me pick him up until right before they closed. Got him home and he was staggering, puking, fell into an end table and hit his head, finally fell over barely breathing. I had to take him to Franklin Animal Clinic where he was put in an oxygen tent because he had a collapsed lung, with the most obvious cause being intubation during his dental procedure. He never really recovered and I had him put down a few weeks later to spare him more pain. They were so worried about getting out of the office at 5pm they didn't care that my pet was clearly in distress
