Story

Shelter Lounge is a mix of natural wood, stone and fire. Our modern roof line and seasonal patio creates the perfect Shelter. We boast a warm atmosphere with an indoor / outdoor circular bar, stone accent walls and fire elements. Designed and built by our local owners, we take pride in being a part of Seattle community.
Perfect place for events, fundraisers and parties!! Just come and hangout! At this time we are not accepting reservations at our Greenlake location. Please contact our Ballard location for large party inquiries. (Ballard: 206-829-8568)

Great location and atmosphere. It's filled with natural light and lofted ceilings, making it an excellent choice for both sunny seattle days and gloomy winter. Enjoyed brunch, although we were sat awkwardly right next to the kitchen door. Our area had uncomfortable chairs, but they were willing to switch them out for another design at request. We enjoyed the coconut vanilla french toast and grilled orange hash. The french toast did not come with a side, but was a yummy, unique take on the staple.

This place is a missed opportunity. The building is gorgeous with lots of windows. They have lots of tvs as well, but not any sports packages that I can tell. They try too hard with the food here...they try to make it hip, but it just doesn't work. The ingredients are good quality, but the food is too busy and weird. The staff are polite, but they ignore the customers. I have to flag them down for anything. They are nice once I get their attention.

Good food, warm atmosphere, doors that turn most of the restaurant into a patio in the summer. They even have a few really tasty gluten free options.

Skip the $8 pretzels(specials) good but wayyy to small. Wings were surprisingly fresh and tasty with a light and satisfying crisp.

I'm not a grilled cheese sandwich eater, but they have the best. I was however disappointed that they did away with the cole slaw. That's really what made the grilled cheese sandwich so great. Please bring it back!!!!
